Just because I gave it 3 stars doesn't mean I didn't like the book. I actually enjoyed reading this, it's just that it was lacking in many ways First of all, I think Rick Riordan should have stuck to 1st person past p.o.v., because to be quite honest third person limited is definitely not his cup of tea--especially not the Character POV narrative style. Secondly, I think he takes the term "cliff-hanger" a bit too seriously (especially since we last see Percy and Annabeth hanging off the edge of the world, HAHA I'M SO FUNNY ). It's a good story, and I like the concept of it, but I think it's a bit too overplayed, especially with the each-character-gets-5-chapters. Why not just give them one huge chapter instead of 5 tiny ones in a consecutive row?
